Responsibilities

  • Provides onsite prevention, evaluation, emergency response, treatment, and rehabilitation services for varsity student-athletes' injuries and illnesses in a fast-paced athletics environment requiring sound clinical judgment and the ability to respond effectively in urgent and evolving situations.

Requirements

  • Education: B.A./B.S. required; M.A./M.S. preferred
  • Work Experience: 1-3 years
  • Required: NATABOC (National Athletic Training Association Board of Certification) National Certification; Licensed Athletic Trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (or eligible); CPR, AED, and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer Certification.

Brandeis University is delighted to announce a career opportunity as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. In this position you will provide onsite care and management of varsity student-athletes' injuries and illnesses including prevention, evaluation, management, rehabilitation and event coverage. In addition to communicating with physicians and coaching staff regarding the injury status of varsity student-athletes, you will maintain appropriate medical records. The hiring range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000. This is a 10 month a year position from August 1 - May 31st.
