Print and Insert Operator II

About the role

You will operate and maintain high-speed mailing and printing equipment to ensure timely and accurate production of customer communications. This role focuses on machine operation, quality control, and throughput in a fast-paced production environment. You will spend significant time on your feet monitoring equipment, resolving issues, and ensuring continuous workflow. Success is measured by output accuracy, equipment uptime, and adherence to production schedules. This position follows a day shift schedule of 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, five days per week, with one weekday and one weekend day off.

Responsibilities

• Operate print and insertion machinery to produce high-volume customer communications
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust settings to maintain optimal output quality
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Load materials such as paper, envelopes, and ink while ensuring proper alignment and setup
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications
• Track production metrics including volume, errors, and machine efficiency
• Follow standardized processes and safety procedures in a production environment
• Coordinate with team members to meet daily production deadlines and priorities
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Required Qualifications
• Experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing or print environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically active work
• Strong attention to detail and quality control practices
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to follow structured procedures and operational guidelines
• Familiarity with production workflows and throughput targets
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting
• High school diploma or skills-based equivalent

Requirements

• Experience with high-speed print and mail insertion equipment
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
• Familiarity with automated production tracking systems
• Ability to diagnose and resolve common machine errors independently
• Experience in a regulated or high-accuracy production environment
