About the role
The Ultrasonographer is responsible for using diagnostic medical equipment to diagnose various medical conditions. Sonography , or ultrasonography, is the use of sound waves to generate an image for assessment and diagnosis. Responsibilities
- Spreads gel on the skin to aid in the transmission of sound waves .
- Operate s special equipment to direct nonionizing, high-frequency sound waves into areas of the patient's body. The equipment collects reflected echoes and forms an image that may be videotaped, transmitted, or photographed for interpretation and diagnosis by a physician.
- Views the screen during the scan, looking for visual cues that contrast healthy areas with unhealthy ones. Selects images to show the physician for diagnostic purposes. Takes measurements, calculates values, and analyzes the results in a preliminary report for the physicians.
- Keeps patient records and adjusts/maintains equipment.
- Complies with safety, infection control, and quality improvement policies/procedures.

- What We Expect from You
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in sonography from an accredited s c hool.
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) Certificatio n
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of one y ears of experience working as a certified Ultrasonographer
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.

- Salary Range
- $32.53 - $38.22 per hour
- The compensation range listed reflects the anticipated base pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, and work location.
