  • Must obtain ATSSA Colorado Flagger Certification within six (6) months of employment.
  • Must obtain RTD On-Track Safety Training Certification within six (6) months of employment.

This isn't your average desk job; you'll be outdoors, operating equipment, patching roads, clearing snow, and making sure our community can get where it needs to go safely. Here's what the job looks like: Work with tools and equipment like dump trucks, plows, and compactors. Repair potholes and keep streets in good shape . The Hiring range for this position is $21.20 - $26.50/hour. Candidates must reside in Colorado at the time of hire. The Streets Worker performs unskilled or semi-skilled manual tasks and operates automotive and grounds or maintenance equipment to maintain, construct and repair city streets and projects for the Public Works Department. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Shovels and tamps asphalt to include pothole repair in a moving work zone. Loads and unloads tools. Assists in the installation, repair, and maintenance of streets. Operates and maintains specialized hand and power tools, vehicles, and equipment such as jack hammer, plate and jumping compactors, single axle dump trucks with plow and sander, spot patch/pothole truck. Perform snow and ice control operations to include working with operators from other departments. Assisting with large roadside trash pickup.
