Job Title : Receiving Inspector A - 2nd Shift Reporting To: Leader, AG Quality Performance Work Schedule: Onsite - Buffalo, NY Moog is the world-wide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you: High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. At least 3 years of experience inspecting precision machined components utilizing a variety of inspection techniques and gauging is required. At least 3 years of experience using TipQA or equivalent quality software At least 3 years of experience generating non-conformance reports using TipQA or equivalent software. At least 3 years of experience performing or reviewing First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 requirements. At least 3 years of experience using an advanced understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience using advanced inspection equipment such as CMM, Roundness Analyzer, SmartScope, and Surface Analyzers is preferred. In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company's "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position. As a Receiving Inspector A, you will: Perform a wide variety of Quality Control tasks including inspecting vendor supplied parts and outside processing operations. These tasks include dimensional inspection of piece parts, review of Certificate of Conformance, compliance to written instructions and procedures as well as verification of special process parameters. Use a wide variety of gauges and sophisticated measuring equipment to inspect precision vendor machined parts for conformance to blueprint. Generate non-conformance reports utilizing quality control software. Review supplier First Article Inspection Reports for compliance to AS9102 standards. Individual contributor that applies broad knowledge of systems and procedures acquired through several years of experience to address issues. May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees. Work requires broad knowledge of administrative/clerical support services and activities typically acquired through at least 3 years of prior relevant experience. Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $24.66-$36.06 Hourly Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
