Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Establish and maintain safe working conditions and procedures.
  • Develop personal knowledge of the production process and equipment.
  • Develop personal knowledge of quality including ASTM and UL requirements.

  • Manage long term capital and operations planning for the mine and ore haul departments.
  • All other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
  • Ideal Background
  • Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
  • Registration: Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience preparing and submitting requests for capital and project management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong information gathering, investigative, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong computer skills and capability to develop and update maps, sketches, and prints
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects and timelines
  • Must possess technical skills and abilities that are generally expected from degreed engineers
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop detailed plans to accomplish business goals then execute the plan
  • Must be able to adapt to changing conditions to achieve set business goals
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
