More about the role: Burson is looking for a People Coordinator to join our Canadian People Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is looking to build broad exposure across all areas of the employee lifecycle. As a member of the People Team, you will play a key role in supporting employees and managers across Canada while helping deliver a seamless employee experience from recruitment through onboarding, development, and offboarding. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, detail-focused, and enjoys building relationships while balancing multiple priorities. Here's what you'd be doing: Recruitment & Talent Coordination Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, and recruitment logistics across multiple business units. Conduct reference checks and support offer preparation and pre-employment activities. Partner with hiring managers, recruiters, and candidates to deliver a positive candidate experience. Support recruitment reporting and talent acquisition administration activities. Employee Lifecycle Administration Support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, employment changes, leaves of absence, returns from leave, and offboarding. Prepare employee documentation and coordinate communications related to employee changes. Maintain employee files and records while ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy. Onboarding & Employee Experience Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including scheduling, system access requests, orientation planning, training assignments, and new hire communications. Partner with managers and internal stakeholders to ensure employees have a successful start. Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and People Team projects throughout the year. HRIS & Employee Records Management Maintain employee information and organizational data within Workday and other HR systems. Process employee transactions, organizational changes, and reporting updates. Support ongoing data integrity initiatives and ensure employee records remain accurate and up to date. Benefits & Leave Administration Support employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries. Assist with leave administration processes, documentation tracking, and return-to-work coordination. Liaise with benefit providers and internal stakeholders as required. Reporting & People Operations Support Maintain People Team trackers, reports, and dashboards. Support reporting requests related to headcount, organizational structure, training compliance, workforce metrics, and business needs. Assist with data gathering and reporting for internal initiatives and business requests. Compliance & Process Improvement Support HR compliance activities, policy administration, audits, and documentation management. Ensure People Team processes are followed consistently and in accordance with company policies and employment legislation. Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and employee experience. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Payroll, Finance, IT, Talent Acquisition, managers, and external vendors to support employee lifecycle activities and ensure a high level of service delivery. What you'll need to get here: 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Talent Acquisition Coordination, or a related role. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience working with HRIS platforms; Workday experience is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
