Responsibilities

• Client Consultation: Discuss design ideas, size, color, and placement to create custom, meaningful artwork.
• Design & Stenciling: Sketch original designs and apply precise stencils or freehand drawings to the skin.
• Tattoo Application: Safely operate tattoo machines and equipment to apply permanent ink.
• Sanitation & Sterilization: Maintain a sterile, safe environment by cleaning workstations and disinfecting all non-disposable tools.
• Aftercare Instruction: Educate clients on proper healing and skin care following their session.
• Qualifications & Requirements
• Artistic Talent: A strong foundation in drawing, illustration, or graphic design, usually demonstrated through a professional portfolio.
• Health & Safety Knowledge: Strict adherence to bloodborne pathogen standards and local health regulations.
• Technical Skills: Precision, steady hands, and knowledge of how different needles and techniques work on human skin.
• Training: Completion of a formal apprenticeship or training program, along with state licensure or certifications where required.
