About the role

You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Project Managament Bracnh (520.2), Supply Department (500) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with DOD and Navy Supply chain operations, organizations, relationships, and responsibilities. Experience serving as supply chain liaison for an agency or within private industry, ensuring material is ordered, expedited, and received to support production schedules. Experience developing and executing the planning and coordination of complex acquisition plans for assigned projects. Experience ensuring timely, cost-effective, and audit-ready implementation of material management strategies. Experience in all aspects of project management. Experience interpreting policy and direction for specific operating requirements. Experience developing guidance for applying material management policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to various degrees or levels of supply controls. Experience serving as an authoritative source for material management, providing collaborative advice and guidance. Experience with inventory management functions. Experience analyzing and interpreting information to test of a variety of established techniques and methods/evaluate alternatives and arrive at decisions/recommendations to supply issues, challenges, and barriers. Experience prioritizing multiple resources and efforts simultaneously while operating in a high traffic and dynamic environment. Experience operating effectively and efficiently in all aspects of industrial material management programs and/or operations.
