Responsibilities
- Scaffolding Operations
- Supervise the erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding and temporary access systems, including suspended scaffolds, cantilever scaffolds, access platforms, stair towers, and working decks.
- Ensure all scaffolding works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, engineering designs, and project requirements.
- Support bridge maintenance activities including inspections, concrete repairs, bearing replacement, expansion joint works, painting, and structural rehabilitation.

- Lead, supervise, and allocate daily work assignments to scaffolders and subcontractors.

- Coordinate scaffold activities with Engineers, Maintenance Teams, Rope Access Teams, QA/QC personnel, HSE staff, and Client representatives.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Enforce compliance with HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, working-at-height procedures, rescue plans, and fall protection requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of scaffolding structures, access systems, and components.
- Ensure all scaffolds are properly inspected, certified, tagged, and safe for use.
- Verify compliance with approved scaffold designs, project specifications, and relevant industry standards.
- Material & Documentation Management
- Monitor scaffold material inventory, storage, transportation, utilization, and condition.
- Ensure damaged or defective scaffold components are removed from service.
- Maintain scaffold registers, inspection records, certifications, daily reports, and material usage records.
- Report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and corrective actions.
- High School Certificate, Technical Qualification, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-8 years of scaffolding experience with at least 3 years in a Foreman or Supervisory role.
- Proven experience in bridge maintenance, bridge rehabilitation, highways, flyovers, or infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience with suspended scaffolds, cantilever scaffolds, access platforms, and temporary bridge access systems.
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding erection, inspection, dismantling, and temporary access systems.
- Ability to read scaffold drawings, access plans, and method statements.
- Valid Scaffolding Supervisor/Foreman certification from a recognized provider.
- Scaffold Inspector certification, Working at Height, and Fall Protection training are preferred.
