This is a full-time, twelve-month position. Leadership & Strategic Administration Provide visionary and strategic leadership for the Department of Health Services in alignment with the mission of ERAU and the Division of Student Affairs. Establish departmental priorities, goals, and performance metrics that support access, quality, efficiency, and student well-being. Lead comprehensive budget planning and fiscal oversight, including revenue generation, expense management, and long-range financial sustainability. Oversee facility operations and infrastructure, including clinic space, security, workflows, onboarding, technology systems, electronic health records, and software platforms. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a multi-disciplinary clinical and administrative team, including medical providers, nursing staff, medical billing, and health insurance compliance personnel. Provide oversight of contracted healthcare employees, ensuring accountability, quality, and service alignment with institutional needs. Prepare and present regular utilization, financial, compliance, and assessment reports for divisional and university leadership. Clinical Oversight & Quality of Care Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and student-centered clinical care in compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, OSHA, state licensing requirements, and institutional policies. Maintain appropriate professional licensure and credentials (if applicable); ensure credentialing, privileging, and continuing education compliance for all clinical staff. Lead quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement initiatives to promote clinical excellence and patient safety. Stay current on emerging trends in college health, public health guidance, and best practices to proactively adapt services. Program Development, Outreach & Assessment Design, implement, and assess health promotion, prevention, and wellness initiatives responsive to the evolving needs of ERAU's student population. Utilize data, utilization trends, and student feedback to continuously improve service delivery, outreach, and access. Oversee strategic marketing and communication efforts using campus platforms (e.g., Campus Groups) to ensure awareness and engagement. Develop outcome measures and assessment tools to demonstrate impact and inform decision-making. Campus Collaboration and Integration Serve as a key liaison and strategic partner to campus units including Student Affairs, Flight, Athletics, ROTC, Counseling Services, Housing & Residence Life, and Campus Safety. Foster strong collaborative relationships to ensure coordinated care, operational continuity, and student readiness. Maintain relationships with external vendors and software providers (e.g., Pyramed), managing service agreements and performance expectations. Partner with the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Committee to ensure compliance with the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act and related mandates. Aviation Medical Compliance & Operational Readiness Experience with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) medical certification process is preferred but not required. Candidates without this background must demonstrate a readiness to engage in professional development opportunities to support the unique health and regulatory needs of our aviation programs. Provide leadership and guidance to the ERAU Flight Department and flight students regarding FAA medical certification and ongoing medical eligibility. Coordinate directly with flight students on issues associated with FAA medical certification, including initial medical applications, deferrals, and medical eligibility concerns. Provide guidance to students on FAA medical certification and special issuance procedures, and support navigation of the FAA medical review process when additional documentation or follow-up is required.
