About the role

You will serve as a Exhibit Specialist (General) of NATIONAL MUSEUM. GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of museum exhibit elements in a large industrial or professional setting, that included the following duties: (1) Interpreting technical drawings, using hand and power tools and techniques related to carpentry, plastics, painting or molding to construct museum exhibits and displays; (2) Designing and creating mats and frames to aesthetically display museum artwork or documents; (3) Working from scale layouts, rough sketches, models, or verbal or written instructions to prepare finished exhibits; (4) Communicating orally and in writing with individuals or groups both inside and outside the organization to resolve technical problems. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: fabrication, installation and maintenance of museum exhibit elements in a small industrial or professional setting, that included the following duties: (1) Reviewing technical drawings and using tools and techniques related to carpentry, plastics, painting or molding to assist in producing structures or models; (2) Creating mats and frames to display artwork or documents; and (3) Working from scale layouts, rough sketches, models, or verbal instructions to aid in preparing finished exhibits.
