About the role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/OCEANOGRAPHER in the HYDROGRAPHIC DEPARTMENT of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a deputy director, the individual needs to possess expert experience planning and monitoring work assignments, evaluating performance, thinking strategically, and understanding the financial process to support the creation of budget submissions and spending plans. As technical lead, the individual needs to have experience seeking out new Scientific technology to improve all phases of scientific data collection, processing, and dissemination. Expert experience with contracting processes to procure equipment and services. .
