About the role
The Nuclear Technical Instructor develops, administers and maintains training programs to support the overall Qualification Programs established at Callaway Energy Center (CEC) and maintains full accreditation for the CEC for their specific discipline, ensuring that the CEC is in full compliance with the requirements for accredit ed programs under the National Academy for Nuclear Training. Instructors maximize student learning by providing quality training to maintain and improve worker knowledge and skills and improve plant performance. Key responsibilities include: Administer formal classroom training to include: Classroom, Laboratory/Simulator instruction Preparation, administration, and grading of examinations Evaluation of trainee performance Scheduling and coordinating training course presentations with appropriate department personnel S upport implementation of an effective and efficient Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) that meets or exceeds industry standards and is institutionalized into plant procedures and processes. Support subject matter experts and vendors providing on-site and off-site training within the appropriate discipline area. Monitor Condition Reports and industry trends for potential areas of weakness for Operating Experience applicability into lesson plans. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all training conducted in accordance with applicable procedures and criteria. Actively participate in training programs to maintain individual qualifications. Participate in in-plant activities and field time to maintain required licenses, certifications, and technical proficiency. Provide refueling outage support for preparations, in-processing training, and/or filling assigned outage position . Assume Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties in accordance with Callaway Energy Center Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) including responding to assigned E RO facilities within the required RERP response time. Technical Level Knowledge - Under guidance, develops fundamental understanding of the overall training program. Possesses working knowledge of subject matter in technical area. Learning training program standards . Job Complexity - Intermediate skill level for administering training with significant technical area knowledge. Supervision - Receives general guidance and supervision on work assignments with more detailed instruction on new assignments. Leadership - Provides peer reviews and feedback .
