About the role
You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the CIVMAR Manpower section (N13A1), of the Manpower Management Branch (N13A), in the Business Management & Support Division, of the Total Force Management Office (N1), of the Military Sealift Command (MSC) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving methods and techniques to organizational and position management issues and taking appropriate follow-up actions in managing staffing issues related to MSC organization structures. Experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations, carrying out specific actions regarding controversial and sensitive issues relating to position management, and/or selling or implementing new ideas or concepts. Experience utilizing computerized management systems and currently authorized software (Microsoft Office, Access, and Visio), implementing database systems and command computer programs used to track personnel, along with using spreadsheets, databases, other management tools. Experience integrating manpower requirements and authorizations and personnel data from various departments to provide reliable and consistent manpower reports and metrics to support MSC studies, analysis, and review. Experience compiling and analyzing manpower information and identifying and resolving problems and issues associated with personnel actions such as data input, erroneous output, funding codes, and organizational coding.
