The Neuroscience Institute (NI) within the Mellon College of Science is an interdisciplinary research and education center dedicated to advancing the understanding of the brain through neuroscience, artificial intelligence, psychology, engineering, and computational science. The institute brings together researchers, faculty, and students to study cognition, behavior, brain health, and neural technology while translating discoveries into real-world applications and treatments The NI is seeking a Lab Manager to join the team! The Lab Manager will support research focused on the cognitive neuroscience of cognitive control using a variety of methods, including behavioral testing, fMRI, EEG, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and patient population studies. This role is responsible for assisting with ongoing research projects, coordinating data collection activities, and supporting general laboratory administration and operations. Core Responsibilities Assist lab personnel in experimental development, stimulus generation, and IRB/MRI facility approval process for experimental protocols. Recruit, schedule and test participants in behavioral, fMRI, and patient experiments. Conduct data transfer, data quality assurance, data preprocessing, and data analysis functions using LINUX and Mac based software. Ensure and maintain data backup for lab. Preparation of data for publication. Manage lab record keeping, including purchasing, IRB information, and MRF protocols. Maintain adherence to IRB protocols Basic maintenance of lab website. Assist in preparation and reporting to grant funding agencies Order and oversee repair and support of laboratory equipment. Training and support of all lab personnel in laboratory procedures, including experimental development, participant recruitment, data collection and analysis. Monitor undergraduate research assistants' initial testing, routinely check compliance. Teach undergraduates research assistants computer-supported research techniques.
