About the role

The Transportation Practice Leader will lead the launch, buildout, and growth of a new transportation engineering practice out of our Billings, MT office with the autonomy to shape its direction, build the team, and establish a strong market presence. Lead business development efforts for the discipline, including client pursuit strategy, proposal development, and relationship expansion. Serve as a visible market leader and technical representative for the discipline in the region. Serve as the technical authority for the discipline locally, ensuring engineering excellence, regulatory compliance, and rigorous QA/QC standards across all projects. Lead and manage the complete project lifecycle, driving schedule performance, cost control, and high‑quality outcomes. Provide leadership, coaching, and development to direct reports, fostering a culture of growth and excellence. Establish a visible and credible transportation presence in the local market. Deliver high-quality projects that reinforce technical excellence and trust.
