Sous Chef - FIFO - 2:1 - Western Australia (Various Sites)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support staff in maintaining a customer-focused, secure and safe working environment in catering operations
• Responsible for food service across breakfast, crib and dinner with a focus on providing food to the highest of standards
• Run daily pre-start checks for the Team
• Responsible for maintaining a strong safety culture in the kitchen
• Supporting the Head Chef in leading and motivating the Team
• Who are we looking for?
• Ideally you would remain calm and focused in high pressure environments, have excellent time management skills, work well in a team and autonomously and have a passion for food. In addition to this the requirements for the role are as follows;
• Trade Certificate, Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
• Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or full work rights
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP
• Experience in a high-pressure, high-volume environment is desirable
• Flexibility to work a variety of rosters and shifts
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
• FIFO experience desirable
• Bulk cooking experience is essential
