Shape the future strategy of Air New Zealand We're looking for both Enterprise Strategy Managers and Enterprise Strategy Analysts to join our new Enterprise Strategy Team. These are high-impact roles supporting some of the airline's most important, ambiguous and system-wide strategic choices. Sitting within the Enterprise Strategy Team, you will help bring structure, evidence, commercial judgement and enterprise thinking to complex strategic problems. You'll work with leaders across the airline to align on priorities, clarify trade-offs and connect strategic ambition to practical execution. This role will support strategy work at both whole-of-airline level and within business units such as Commercial, Cargo, Loyalty, Airports, Alliances or Engineering. You'll help ensure strategic decisions are rigorous, connected to the broader business, and focused on creating long-term enterprise value. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with ambiguity, can think commercially and analytically, and can support senior leaders to make clearer, faster and better strategic choices. The strategic impact you'll make Support the shaping and refreshing of Air New Zealand's enterprise strategy, ensuring it remains relevant as market, customer, competitive, operational and financial conditions change. Partner with business units and senior leaders to solve strategic challenges and define the role their area plays in the broader airline strategy. Bring an enterprise lens to complex decisions, ensuring local choices are aligned with whole-of-airline value. Frame and solve cross-functional strategic problems where no single function owns the answer. Develop strategic options, trade-off analysis, investment cases, Board or executive decision materials. Translate strategic ambition into clear priorities, roadmaps, planning assumptions and measurable outcomes. Monitor whether the airline is delivering against its strategy and recommend adjustments where performance, assumptions or external conditions change. Support the connection between strategy, planning and execution, including the development of the 5-year business, financial and operational plan. Test whether major initiatives, growth choices or capability investments are aligned to the enterprise strategy. Experience and strengths you'll bring Experience in enterprise strategy, corporate strategy, business strategy, consulting, transformation, commercial, planning or a related environment. Strong strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to cut through ambiguity, structure complex issues and frame choices clearly. Commercial judgement, with the ability to connect strategy to enterprise value, financial outcomes and operational reality. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use evidence to generate insight and simplify complexity. Experience developing strategy materials, options analysis, trade-off recommendations, investment cases or executive decision papers. An enterprise mindset, with the ability to look beyond individual business-unit priorities and consider what creates the greatest long-term value for the whole airline. Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders. Excellent relationship-building skills and confidence working with leaders across multiple teams and levels. Comfort operating in a large, complex environment where priorities, assumptions and external conditions can change. You'll be at your best here if you are equally comfortable with ambiguity, commercial analysis, executive storytelling, strategic trade-offs and the practical realities of getting things done in a large, complex business. This is a specialist role supporting strategically important choices across the airline. The successful candidate will join a connected and collaborative Enterprise Strategy Chapter, working closely with leaders and teams across Air New Zealand to strengthen enterprise coherence, execution focus and long-term value creation.
