Our Brisbane Highways team delivers a range of different projects working with local governments and highways authorities. We are currently engaged in a variety of large to mega projects as well as smaller more intricate projects - all offering a broad spectrum of opportunities. Being multi-disciplinary projects, great opportunities to broaden horizons and gain valued industry experience. In this role, you will support the delivery of civil engineering design projects by contributing to the production of engineering drawings and documentation across small to major transport infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with designers and engineers, developing your technical skills while gaining exposure to industry-leading projects such as Caloundra Road, Nicklin Way Upgrade and Cross River Rail. How you'll make a difference: Produce and edit accurate 2D drawings and 3D models (plans, sections, details) to project standards. Set up and apply CAD templates, layers, styles, and naming conventions consistently. Interpret mark‑ups and design inputs from engineers and senior designers to develop coordinated drawings. Check and self‑review work for quality, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. Maintain drawing registers and support controlled document release processes. Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards, blocks, families, and libraries. Collaborate across disciplines to meet deadlines while managing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. About you Interest in gaining civil design knowledge through on the job experience;-Interest in 3D modelling and 2D drawing extraction Eager to learn through on the job experience and TAFE study. Enthusiastic and driven The qualities that help you thrive: Associate Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering Drafting/Design. Proficiency or knowledge in AutoCAD. Working knowledge of drafting conventions; exposure to Queensland requirements (e.g., TMR) is beneficial. Strong attention to detail, organization, and version control. Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Ability to manage time effectively and deliver to schedule. Full working rights in Australia.
