Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Training and Development, Advanced Training Center, located in Harpers Ferry, WV. Experience: You qualify for the GS-06 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Performing ordering, receiving, inventorying, and transferring of supplies and property. Preparing and tracking shipments and coordinating with management and local offices to resolve shipping and inventory issues. Assisting with periodic inventory requirements by conducting physical inventories and maintaining records for equipment, supplies, warranty, and maintenance. Operating material handling equipment, including forklifts and power stackers, to move and store supplies and equipment in warehouse environments. Applying supply management regulations, policies, and procedures to support procurement actions, monitor contractor performance, and recommend corrective actions.
