Fleet Operator

Responsibilities

• ⦿ Customer Interaction: Maintain effective communication with customers, site managers, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and pickups. Represent Weir professionally in all customer and vendor interactions.
• ⦿ Documentation & Compliance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and shipping documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
• ⦿ Travel Requirements: Primarily local travel between Tucson sites and nearby vendor locations with occasional overtime hours, averaging 45-50 hours per week.
• ⦿ Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

Requirements

• ⦿ Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• ⦿ Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience with knowledge of safely tying down loads.
• ⦿ Strong customer-facing skills with effective communication abilities.
• ⦿ Ability to meet DOT medical requirements and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations.
• ⦿ Current MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) training certification.
• ⦿ Experience delivering materials to industrial, mining, construction, or manufacturing sites.
• ⦿ Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
• ⦿ Familiarity with local roads, routes, and customer service best practices.
