Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Not relative experience required; 1-2 years preferred
• Previous medical or production experience is a plus
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS office
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs
• Ability to pass a standardized color blind test

CO Salary Range: USD 18.29 - 20.00 per hour Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Accessioning team in Lakewood, CO. The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures. Schedule: Monday through Friday from 4:00PM to 12:30AM, additional business hours may be required depending on business needs. **Pay: $18.29 - $20.00 per hour Plus a 2nd shift differential All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Work Location: 7444 W Alaska Dr, Lakewood CA 80226 Application window closes: 2/17/2025 Job Duties/Responsibilities: Accessioning of cytology and histology specimens Data entry of patient information for surgical specimen from hospitals and clinics in an accurate and timely manner Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas Resolve and document any problem specimens Verify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted Data entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes Meet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities when required Handle and dispose of waste Comply with applicable environmental health and safety policies and procedures
