Responsibilities
- Investment Contracting Leadership
- Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for investment expense contracting, support investment teams in goods and services contracting such as:

- stakeholder engagement
- implementation oversight
- testing
- change management
- Act as the primary Procurement business lead, partnering with Technology, Finance, Legal, and end users to ensure the solution meets enterprise needs.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement enabled by the new system.
- Governance, Risk, and Stakeholder Management
- Ensure procurement and contracting practices appropriately manage financial, operational, legal, reputational, and regulatory risk.
- Build trusted relationships with Investment leaders and senior stakeholders across the organization.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of procurement policies, templates, controls, and guidance related to expense procurements.
- Leadership and Capability Building
- Provide support, coaching, and technical guidance to contract managers and business users who own contracts and third-party provider risks.
- Build procurement capability and contracting literacy across Investment teams.

Requirements

- University degree in Business or a related field
- 8+ years of experience promoting procurement best practices and compliance activities
- Significant senior-level experience in procurement and complex contracting, ideally within investment management, financial services, or another highly regulated environment
- Deep expertise in:
- contract negotiation
- commercial risk management
- supplier engagement
- Experience leading large-scale system or process transformation initiatives is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management in procurement
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively with senior leaders
- Experience supporting investment expense procurements, such as:
- public markets
- private markets
- external managers
- investment operations
- Knowledge of trade agreements and public-sector or quasi-public procurement obligations is an asset

CLOSING DATE: Opportunity AIMCo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Investment Procurement to provide enterprise leadership for investment expense contracting activities. This is a high-profile, collaborative role for a contracting subject matter expert who brings deep procurement expertise, sound judgment, and strong stakeholder engagement skills. Reporting to the Senior Director, Procurement & Supplier Relationship Management, the Director will lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of investment expense contracts in a way that mitigates risk, supports business outcomes, and ensures compliance with internal policy, regulatory requirements, and applicable trade agreements. In addition to leading day-to-day procurement support for investment expense contracts, this role will also lead the enterprise contract lifecycle management (CLM) system replacement initiative and may oversee a portfolio of ad hoc non-investment procurement projects as business needs evolve. This position works closely with teams across Investments, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Technology.
