About the role

You will serve as a PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the COMMANDER NAVY INSTALLATIONS COMMAND of NAVAL STATION. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing chemical analysis/testing, data validation and reduction, and reporting on various gasoline and lube oils products in a laboratory setting; 2) Adapting and modifying the established precedents, methods and procedures to solve a variety of quality determination problems; 3) Operating a variety of testing instrumentation to determine physical and chemical characteristics of materials; 4) Troubleshooting equipment problems and determining the cause of irregular or inconsistent data; and 5) Compiling and analyzing data into databases, spreadsheets, and reports.
