ChenMoore is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This position will work closely with the Controller and CFO, supporting financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and audit compliance-especially in preparation for FAR audits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Process accounts payable, issue checks, and maintain vendor records
• Track consultant invoices and ensure payment is issued after client payment is received
• Record client payments and assist with cash application
• Review employee expense reports (credit card and expense reimbursements) for accuracy and compliance
• Prepare checks for deposit and maintain banking records
• Download and organize bank statements
• Respond to vendor and consultant inquiries regarding payments
• Support and lead coordination of the annual FAR audit, including responding to auditor requests
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fields.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience (professional services or engineering firm experience a plus)
• Knowledge of FAR regulations preferred
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP systems is a plus
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
