About the role

The Employer Engagement & Job Development Specialist is a key driver of employment outcomes for InspHire clients. This role owns the full employer engagement lifecycle, from prospecting and relationship development to job placement and retention support. This individual ensures clients have access to meaningful, sustainable employment opportunities. This is a frontline, results-driven role with no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Employer Partnerships & Business Development
  • Develop and execute a proactive outreach strategy to build and grow a pipeline of employer partners
  • Identify industries and employers aligned with second-chance hiring initiatives
  • Conduct ongoing in-person engagement, cold outreach, networking, and referrals to expand employer relationships
  • Educate employers on the value of second-chance hiring and serve as the primary liaison between employers and the program
  • Represent the organization at community events, job fairs, and industry associations
  • Client Placement & Support
  • Partner with Career Coaches to match clients with job opportunities based on skills, readiness, and employer needs
  • Support clients in interview preparation and job readiness
  • Provide real-time feedback to Career Coaches on client readiness gaps
  • Retention & Follow-Up
  • Conduct structured follow-ups with employers and clients at 2 weeks, 30, 60, and 90 days post-placement
  • Monitor placement success, address challenges proactively, and identify trends to improve outcomes
  • Data & Reporting
  • Track all employer interactions, job leads, and placements accurately in ETO within required timelines
  • Use data to evaluate outreach effectiveness and adjust strategy accordingly

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years in business development, workforce development, staffing, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and generate opportunities through outreach and networking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage diverse stakeholders with cultural sensitivity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn ETO/Social Solutions (prior experience a plus)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally

ABM's Re-Entry Program is responsible for providing job placement and other support services for offenders being released to Hillsborough, Polk, and Pasco counties or an ex-offender referred to Abe Brown Ministries.
