Category Manager - Canine & Feline Food - 12 Month Fixed Term

About the role

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving category performance, delivering customer-focused ranges, and creating compelling promotional strategies that set Petstock apart. What your day will look like: Develop and execute annual category strategies aligned to business goals Negotiate innovative and commercially compelling promotions with suppliers Lead range reviews and pricing strategies in line with the review calendar Source and select products aligned to company vision and merchandising plans Build strong supplier partnerships to achieve mutual growth outcomes Deliver the Category Business Plan to meet budgeted KPIs Oversee product setup and ongoing maintenance in systems Coordinate category communications across stores and operational teams About You You are a confident and commercially minded Category Manager who brings both strategic thinking and execution excellence. You will bring: Proven experience in a Category Manager or Buyer role Strong understanding of retail metrics and commercial drivers Demonstrated success in supplier negotiation and relationship management Experience across category management, product development or importing Ability to influence and engage multiple stakeholders Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) A collaborative approach with strong relationship-building skills A genuine passion for pets and the pet industry Why Join Petstock?
