You qualify for the GS-05 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-04 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Utilizing office automated systems to enter, retrieve, and manage human resources data. Completing, tracking, and maintaining electronic files and records in support of human resources programs. Responding to customer issues and concerns. OR Education: Successful completion of 4 years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of successfully completed post-high school education and specialized experience may be used to meet the total qualification requirements for the GS-05 position. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application. Please note: only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. You qualify for the GS-06 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Managing and sorting information from personnel files, records, and databases. Retrieving data from informational sources, to respond to customer calls, emails, and other customer service issues. Inputting personnel actions into online systems and databases that reflect changes to employee records. Tracking personnel files and records through the process of reviewing reports that identify personnel suspense using online systems and databases. You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-06 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Responding to customer inquiries after reviewing and validating source documents in accordance with rules and regulations. Analyzing verified information for processing and inputting into personnel systems and updating databases utilizing electronic and manual research methods. Maintaining, monitoring, and organizing personnel files and records within online databases to ensure data integrity and efficient retrieval. Creating and analyzing reports that identifies personnel issues using online systems and databases. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
