About the role

We're looking for a strategic and influential manager to provide 2nd line risk oversight to the AUSPAC Transformation & Modernisation Program. Your new role In this role, you will: Provide 2nd line oversight and challenge across the AUSPAC Divisional Transformation portfolio and the Modernisation Program. Advise senior leaders on risk and control matters, influencing decision ‑ making and uplift of risk culture. Develop meaningful indicators, dashboards and reporting to enhance transformation risk visibility. Explore and embed the use of AI to support project risk management for both the Line 1 and Line 2 risk teams. Assess and challenge the effectiveness of governance, controls and risk processes across agile and waterfall delivery. Contribute to deep dives, integrated assurance activities and high ‑ quality 2nd line reporting to executives and the Board. Build strong relationships, support capability uplift, and role ‑ model QBE's DNA values through constructive challenge and engagement. About you Proven experience managing risk within large‑scale transformation or complex change Deep understanding of enterprise risk frameworks and the 3‑lines‑of‑defence model Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills Strong analytical judgement and problem‑solving capability Ability to coach, build capability and uplift risk culture across diverse stakeholder groups Practical experience applying risk and control practices across both agile and waterfall delivery environments
