We're looking for a talented and detail-obsessed Senior UI Designer to join our Customer Experience team in an embedded capacity with one of Saudi Arabia's leading banks. This is a role defined by visual craft, you'll be the person who makes things look and feel exceptional, working within and helping to evolve a sophisticated, enterprise-grade design system used across millions of customer touchpoints. You'll be working within the client's Riyadh office, collaborating directly with their product and design teams day-to-day, while remaining a valued member of the VML agency team - joining department meetings, contributing to team culture, and benefiting from the development and support structures the agency provides. This is a rare kind of embedded role. The client is mature from a design perspective, with a well-established design system, a product-oriented mindset, and a working culture that genuinely respects and enables good design. You'll have the conditions to do your best work. Your focus will be on the visual layer, producing high-fidelity, pixel-precise UI across a complex digital banking product suite, ensuring every screen, component, and interaction reflects both the design system and the highest standards of visual quality. You'll work closely with UX designers, the design system lead, product managers, and engineers to bring experiences to life with clarity, consistency, and care.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, high-fidelity UI designs across a wide range of digital banking products and features, from mobile app screens to complex web-based product interfaces.
- Work confidently within an existing enterprise-scale design system - applying components correctly, maintaining rigorous visual consistency, and contributing thoughtfully to its evolution where genuine gaps or improvements are identified.
- Translate wireframes, flows, and product requirements into polished, production-ready visual designs that balance aesthetic quality with usability and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and front-end engineers to ensure designs are implemented to the intended visual standard.
- Provide visual design QA at key stages of development, reviewing implemented features against design intent and raising issues with precision and clarity.
- Manage your own workload across multiple concurrent features or product areas, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced product environment.
- Participate in regular VML department meetings and contribute to the wider CX team's knowledge sharing, culture, and development.
- You will have
- 6+ years of experience in UI and visual design, with a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft, typographic skill, and a strong eye for detail, hierarchy, and consistency.
- Proven experience working within an enterprise-scale design system - not just using it, but understanding it deeply, applying it with discipline, and contributing to its growth in a structured, governed way.
- Experience designing for complex, large-scale digital products - you understand the challenges of designing at scale and know how to balance consistency with the need to solve new problems.
- A strong command of Figma, including component architecture, auto-layout, variables, and design token conventions.
- The ability to take a wireframe or a concept and elevate it, you bring visual thinking to every brief and leave every screen better than you found it.
