Reporting to the Senior Engineer Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Engineer-in-Training (EIT), Mine Operations will be responsible for supporting operational technologies within the department and leveraging data in ad-hoc reporting, studies and investigations. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in, Mine or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience and certification)
- Registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
- Minimum of 1-2 years previous work experience in an open pit mining environment with previous experience using WENCO Fleet Management Systems or equivalent (preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced computational skills (SQL, VBA, Power BI and Office 365)
- A strong desire to apply technical and operational knowledge in the continuous improvement of the operation
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and effectively troubleshoot problems are essential skills for this role
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent
