About the role

Entrupy is looking for a Senior Manager, HR to lead our People function in India and serve as the primary HR partner for the region. This role will be the face of HR in India, working closely with business leaders to build strong teams, develop managers, and deliver a high-quality employee experience. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic partnership with strong execution. You will drive people programs, strengthen manager capabilities, ensure compliance, and build scalable processes that support a growing, globally distributed organization. You will work closely with the HR Manager and the Mangalore Site Manager to ensure strong execution of compliance, operations, and culture initiatives at the Mangalore site. You will also partner with the global HR team to align on broader people initiatives and practices. The role also requires experience working across APAC, including familiarity with supporting teams in Japan, and the ability to operate effectively across diverse cultural contexts. Location: Mangalore / Bangalore, India Reports to: Chief People Officer

Responsibilities

  • HR Leadership (India): Act as the primary HR leader and point of contact for India. Build strong relationships with business leaders and ensure alignment between people strategy and business priorities.
  • People Partnering: Partner closely with managers to support team effectiveness, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational design. Provide thoughtful guidance on people-related decisions.
  • Manager & Leadership Development: Coach and develop managers to build strong leadership capabilities. Support career development conversations, foster a culture of feedback, and promote team health.
  • Policies, Processes & Compliance: Own and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and practices. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Mangalore Site Partnership: Work closely with the HR Manager and Mangalore Site Manager to ensure strong execution of HR operations, compliance, and a healthy, inclusive culture at the site
  • APAC & Global Collaboration: Partner with the global HR team and support broader APAC initiatives, including collaboration with teams in Japan. Bring cultural awareness and alignment to people programs.
  • Employee Experience: Drive initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and the overall employee experience. Serve as a trusted resource for employees.
  • HR Operations: Oversee and ensure the quality of core HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Scaling & Process Building: Build and refine scalable HR systems and processes to support company growth while maintaining simplicity and clarity.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8-15 years of HR experience, with a strong background in HR Business Partnering or HR Generalist roles within fast-growing environments.
  • Leadership: Experience serving as the lead HR partner for a region or business unit, with the ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders.
  • People Partnering Strength: A strong track record of supporting managers and teams through performance management, team dynamics, and organizational change.
  • Manager Development: Experience coaching managers and building leadership capabilities across different levels of the organization.
  • Compliance & Operations: Solid understanding of Indian labor laws, HR policies, and operational processes, with strong attention to detail and execution.
  • APAC Experience: Experience working with APAC teams, ideally including exposure to Japan, with sensitivity to cultural nuances
  • Execution & Ownership: Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
  • Communication: A clear, thoughtful communicator with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
