What We Need We're looking for a mid-level Technical Artist who is passionate about building high-quality materials, improving performance, and creating tools that empower artists and developers. You'll collaborate closely with art, engineering, and production leadership across multiple titles and regions, contributing to shared pipelines while learning from experienced teams. This role offers the opportunity to grow your technical and creative skillset while helping shape content you're genuinely excited to create.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize material and shader workflows across multiple projects
  • Profile and improve rendering, memory, and asset performance on target platforms
  • Build and support artist-friendly tools to streamline content creation and iteration
  • Collaborate with artists and engineers to translate visual goals into efficient technical solutions
  • Help define best practices for materials, asset setup, and performance budgets
  • Troubleshoot content and pipeline issues, providing clear documentation and guidance
  • Support cross-studio teams by sharing tools, workflows, and technical standards
  • What Will Make You A Great Fit
  • 3-4 years of professional experience as a Technical Artist or in a closely related role
  • Strong understanding of real-time rendering, materials, shaders, and asset optimization
  • Experience working with modern game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar)
  • Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as Python, C#, or HLSL
  • Solid knowledge of 3D art pipelines, including modeling, texturing, and asset integration
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members

Requirements

  • Experience with Houdini for procedural tools or content generation
  • Familiarity with machine learning or data-driven workflows (e.g., PyTorch)
  • Advanced shader development experience (custom lighting models, VFX, or compute shaders)
  • Experience with additional DCC tools such as Substance Designer/Painter, Maya, or Blender
  • Background working on multi-platform titles (PC, console, or mobile)
  • Interest in automation, pipeline scalability, and long-term tool maintenance
