Job Description: This position safeguards Intermountain Health's assets through monthly accounting operations and internal controls, and ensures accurate and compliant financial reporting. This position is responsible for understanding account balances, completing reconciliations, performing data analysis and supporting the companies assigned to their team and manager. Essential Functions Understands and explains all aspects of the accounting process. Performs routine and non-routine accounting tasks requiring in-depth analysis. Acts as an accounting technical resource to others. Understands and explains the interrelationship of accounting with non-finance areas of the company. Provides expertise in applying generally accepted accounting principles to all phases of accounting operations. Responsible for in-depth analysis of accounting tasks, critical accounting entries and financial statement review. May have responsibility for the month-end close of a company. May act as a mentor to other members of accounting. May have responsibility for training, coordinating, and reviewing work of others. May be a project lead or perform supervisory duties.
