The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of warehousing duties. Responsible for working with heavy equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, completing paperwork, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on time, and making decisions regarding the transfer of incoming and outgoing inventory. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Load and unload flatbed trucks with the use of a forklift. Verify material or merchandise against receiving documents. Examine stored materials, note and report discrepancies, deterioration, and obvious damage. Route materials to prescribed storage locations. Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials. Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment/issue. Palletize heavy and bulk material. Sort, count, and weigh material. Store, inspect, and issue material. Put stock away in bins. Count stock levels. Pull and process orders and shipments. Visual inspection of material. Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Secure material to pallets with banding or plastic wrap.
