Position Title: BCBA Therapist - Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Children's Behavioral Health Center (Fall 2026) Department: BHC Care Management: Mental Health Integration/Behavioral Health Job Description: *BCBA Therapist positions are available at levels I, II, or III, depending on experience and education. * Our NEW Pediatric Behavioral Health Center is scheduled to open in December 2026. Candidates applying for this position should expect a start date after November 1, 2026 . All applicants must be 21 years of age or older and provide three professional references as part of the hiring process. General Description Under general supervision, performs assessment, development, implementation and oversight of behavior analytic interventions. This role functions within an interdisciplinary medical team and BCBA ensures treatment is evidence-based, individualized, and aligned with best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA), regulatory standards, and OU Health policies. Conduct comprehensive behavioral and functional assessments and interpret findings to inform individualized, data-driven treatment plans. Develop, implement, and oversee behavior intervention plans using evidence-based applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to reduce maladaptive behaviors and increase adaptive functioning. Monitor patient progress through ongoing data collection and analysis; modify interventions as clinically indicated to optimize outcomes. Provide behavioral skills training and clinical supervision to behavior technicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure treatment, fidelity and competency. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (e.g., physicians, nursing, therapists, dietitians) to support coordinated, patient-centered care and treatment planning. Deliver caregiver training and education to promote generalization and sustainment of behavioral interventions across settings. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with OU Health policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standard including medical necessity, active treatment, and linkage to treatment goals. Ensure adherence to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Ethics Code, state licensure requirements, and organizational policies and procedures. Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and survey readiness activities to support safe, effective care delivery. Provide consultation on behavior analytic strategies and environmental modifications to improve patient care and staff response. Experience: 0-3 years Certifications/License/Registration: Current Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. State licensure as required. BLS Certification (American Heart Association) within the first 90 days. De-escalation training within the first 90 days Level II Minimum Requirements Education: Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field. Experience: 3-5 years Certifications/License/Registration: Current Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. State licensure as required. BLS Certification (American Heart Association) within the first 90 days. De-escalation training within the first 90 days Level III Minimum Requirements Education: Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field. Experience: 5+ years Certifications/License/Registration: Current Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. State licensure as required. BLS Certification (American Heart Association) within the first 90 days. De-escalation training within the first 90 days Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills. Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles, methodologies, and evidence-based interventions, including functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plan development. Ability to assess, design, implement, and evaluate individualized, data-driven behavioral health interventions across a continuum of care.
