Equipment Specialist (technical Coordinator)

About the role

You will serve as a F/A-18 Avionics Equipment Specialist (Technical Coordinator) for the NATEC DET OCEANA, VA, NAVAIR NATEC Engineering Technical Services. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing some or all of the following duties: 1.) Providing expert field engineering, technical advice, and instruction to naval commands for the operation, installation, and repair of F/A-18 avionics and electrical systems; 2.) Serving as a primary liaison with NAVAIR, vendors, and Fleet Support Teams to address engineering and design challenges; 3.) Leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver program support and resolve emerging issues affecting fleet readiness; 4.) Collaborating with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Program Manager, Air (PMA), Fleet Support Team (FST), and Type Command (TYCOM) within the F/A-18 program's operations and sustainment; and 5.) Applying expert-level knowledge independently to resolve complex technical issues on the F/A-18 platform.
