JOB PURPOSE: The Fabrication and Weld Production Manager d irects and oversees production activities and personnel, specific to the Fabrication and Weld departments, and directs manufacturing flow within the facility. They lead business process improvements to assure the order fulfillment process meets or exceeds customers' expectations in lead-time and on-time delivery and drives improved business profitability by implementing processes to support safety measures, quality initiatives and improve plant productivity. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Contributes to Safety by being an active member of Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Safety Committee Develops, trains to, and enforces policies regarding safety requirements, company policies, and work procedures, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product Responsible for planning and reaching L1 Board production metrics Active role in Ergonomics team Develops labor and capital plans to achieve schedule and budget requirements Primary trainer for Supervisors regarding L4 Boards, PMB, KRONOS, KPI Spreadsheets, etc. Works with Supervisors to verify headcounts match departmental workload Works with Supervisors to ensure L4 Board countermeasures are being completed to result in metric attainment and issue resolution Leads daily production meeting and coordinates cross-functional department flow Perform other duties as assigned
