Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo).
• Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis (FEA, CFD, tolerance analysis).
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, electrical, and production departments.
• Troubleshoot design issues, root cause problems, and implement corrective actions.
• Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance and optimizing production methods.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement activities.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Advance skills in CAD modeling software CATIA and CREO.
• Product design for plastic injection molding, metal stamping, and die casting.
• Knowledge in plastic optical component design.
• Knowledge of secondary processes such as laser cutting, plating, vacuum metallization, in-mould decoration, spray painting, hot stamping, silk screen, etc.
• Strong knowledge of design analysis and tolerance stack calculations.
• Experience with design for manufacturing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge in soft and hard tooling for prototype making and mass production.
• Good attention to details and able to learn independently in a dynamic environment.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong passion for product design work.
