Paint Shop Operative (Blast/Spray)

Responsibilities

• Brushes or sprays paint to cover scratches, chips or repairs in painted parts or finish of materials.
• Cleans and prepares surface for painting using cleaning solution, solvent, sander and scraper.
• Applies thin coat of finish material such as paint or lacquer to sanded area.
• Sprays or touches up finish coats to blend spots or imperfections.
• Ability to prime and apply base coat to a high standard
• Be confident in checking and polishing components with the minimum of supervision
• Working with blast, and various tools for the completion of product to the applicable specifications.
• To prepare parts and assemblies for shot blasting & painting to stage for finishing product, meeting defined production standards, schedules, and quality requirements.
