The IRC Yemen began its programs in October 2012. Since establishing its presence in the South of Yemen, in the Red Sea Coastal city of Aden, the organization has grown from just an implementing small project to handling large scale emergency and relief operations. Following the war which broke out in Yemen in March of 2015 and the humanitarian disaster, which was crafted by the same, IRC launched one an emergency response program in the southern governorates of Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah and Al Dhale, and expanded later in Sana'a and Hodeidah in the North. Currently IRC Yemen is operating in eight governorates in the south and north of Yemen through direct programming and through local partnerships, in Health, WASH, Nutrition, Economic Recovery Development, Education, Child Protection, Gender and Women Protection and Empowerment. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has been working in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for more than forty years. Today, the IRC has more than 2,200 staff working across the region, including in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Syria, and Yemen to support those affected by some of the world's most complex and protracted humanitarian crises. SCOPE OF WORK: This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and quality delivery of CP interventions, providing supervision and support to child protection team in Abyan and integration between CP and other IRC sectors and partners. The Senior officer will lead of CP team , assistants, and case workers with general oversight of CP projects in West Coast . The position is based in AlDhale'e , with travel 40 % to west coast . JOB SUMMARY: This position will take lead in ensuring proper and quality implementation of CP interventions, Case Management, and other components of the sector in the center and mobile sites. They will need to ensure response to immediate child protection issues with simultaneous consideration of longer-term needs and possible scenarios. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior CP Manager to ensure that all child protection components are well integrated into other relevant sectors. WORKING RELATIONS: Supervise 2 Child Protection assistants, report directly to the Senior CP Manager, and work with health, Nutrition, EPRM and WPE teams to cultivate collaboration MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Management and Implementation: - Ensure team members have individual monthly work plans prepared in advance and update as required. - Supervising the CM team and PSS team in the mobile SHLS activities - Work operations and grants to coordinate to ensure quality, timely, implementation and development of programs, including providing oversight over the budget versus actual, indicator tracking tools, and other grant management tools used by the IRC; contributing to the monthly grant review meetings; regular monitoring of internal program purchase request tools. - Work with team to ensure projects are implemented in conformity with the IRC program framework promoting and protecting rights, participation, capacity building, partnership, and well-rounded planning. - Supervise and provide technical guidance to Case Management staff, including regular review, follow-up, quality assurance, and approval of CPIMS+ cases to ensure quality case management processes, adherence to SOPs, confidentiality, and timely closure of cases. - Supervise and provide technical support and follow-up to Incentive Workers (IWs) facilitating psychosocial support (PSS) sessions, ensuring session quality, appropriate documentation, and adherence to approved methodologies and activity plans. - Ensure all case management and PSS data are accurately entered into CommCare and CPIMS+ systems in a timely manner and coordinate closely with the CPIMS Officer to address data quality issues. - Ensure weekly and monthly reports are compiled and submitted on time to the CPIMS Officer and Senior CP Manager, with accurate data and analysis from field activities. - Update and maintain service mapping and referral pathways regularly to ensure effective and safe referrals for vulnerable children and caregivers. - Provide ongoing mentoring, capacity building, and technical
