Safety Officer cum Environment Control Officer (ECO)

Responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with government health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe workplace
• Implement and uphold all safety requirements and in-house safety rules to achieve zero safety demerit points from the Ministry of Manpower and other agencies
• Lead continuous improvement of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) system by effectively applying ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management standards
• Monitor construction work sites regularly and conduct safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Identify and recommend best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks and enhance safety awareness among personnel
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) team on safety initiatives and necessary procedural changes
• Implement practical pollution control measures, material wastage control, and 3-R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) programs to protect the environment
• Deliver training sessions to workers, staff, and site personnel to reinforce safety knowledge and compliance
