About the role
We are looking to recruit several electrical and mechanical engineers to facilitate a move to a rotating shift pattern during the summer. Successful applicants will work closely with the manufacturing team maintaining and servicing all processing machinery to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted to avoid production disruption. You will need to have worked in a similar manufacturing environment and be able to carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding and deal with machine down-time efficiently. The candidate will rotate as part of a multi-disciplinary team working across both day and night shifts. Excellent communication skills are a must as well as a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the needs of the business are met. Responsibilities
- Complete repairs and breakdowns in a timely manner and perform RCA's (Root Cause Analysis) to ensure corrective and preventative actions are completed.
- Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping.
- Comply with all company Health & Safety rules and be able to escalate any failures.
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager and the Manufacturing Managers.
- Be part of an Engineering team dedicated to providing a world class service.
- Be confident to communicate effectively and have the initiative to take the lead when required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices.
- Comply with all existing SWPs and contribute to the continuous improvement of SWPs.
- In the future support and mentor Electrical Apprentices on site

- Must be fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Excellent I.T Skills
- Relevant degree and a good practical working knowledge is essential
- Minimum 3 years' post qualification experience working in a fast-paced factory/manufacturing environment.
- Good experience and able to demonstrate a methodical approach to fault finding
- Conversant with UK Health & Safety rules, regulations and best practices.
- Ability to priorities workload and concisely record information
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
