Job Summary: We are looking for a Manager of SEC Reporting to join our rapidly growing Accounting team. As part of our Accounting resource group, you will be a key member of a visible, accessible, and dedicated service team in a rewarding, high-energy work environment. You will share responsibility for supporting field and Service Center personnel, helping them to function at peak efficiency and work in compliance with applicable laws. This role will focus on preparing and reviewing SEC filings in compliance with the latest regulatory requirements, reviewing the accounting for leases in accordance with ASC 842, and reviewing entries and reconciliations around our equity accounts. Duties & Responsibilites: SEC Reporting & Compliance: Manage the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, Proxy Statements, and other regulatory filings. Work closely with external auditors during the quarterly and annual audit process, providing supporting documentation for disclosures and internal control over financial reporting. Ensure compliance with all SEC and PCAOB regulations and guidance, particularly those related to lease and equity accounting and financial reporting. Review and approve schedules and workpapers supporting SEC filings. Lease Accounting Review: Review the accounting for all leases (operating and finance) in accordance with ASC 842. Oversee lease tracking, including the review and approval of lease schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations. Ensure accurate reporting of lease liabilities and right-of-use (ROU) assets on the balance sheet. Coordinate with legal and operations teams to ensure lease terms are accurately reflected in financial records. Support periodic lease audits and related disclosures in financial statements. Lease Administration Review: Analyze lease agreements and review the set-up of all new leases and validation of lease data and attributes and review data input into the lease management tool Review monthly lease payments ensure they are processed completely, accurately and timely Review the monthly lessor reporting packages Other Duties: Keep abreast of changes to accounting standards, including any updates to ASC 842 or SEC reporting requirements, and ensure company compliance, including memo preparation. Support ad hoc projects as needed, including process improvements and systems enhancements. Supervise accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Bachelor's degree in Accounting (MAcc or MBA preferred) CPA designation preferred or working towards CPA certification 5+ years of experience in lease accounting, SEC reporting, public accounting, or a related accounting field. Experience managing others, including training and development Strong understanding of GAAP, ASC 842 Lease Accounting standards, ASC 718 Share Based Payments standards, and SEC reporting requirements. Proficiency with financial reporting software (experience with Sage, Workiva, Certent, and ProLease preferred). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with senior management. Deep knowledge of SOX compliance and experience with financial audits.
