About the role

Join us as a senior Software Developer in QAE Budapest to craft the next generation of our single security analytical modelling platform using C++23 and Python 3 with the help of colleagues across Europe and the USA! You will create new modules, applications, APIs, and observability pipelines to provide clients with novel ways of using our analytics. You will understand our business processes, identify bottlenecks, and provide optimizations to improve our cloud compute performance. It is important to have the ability to manage complex implementation and requirements as you will be working on a scalable, modular, and distributed architecture. You will communicate with the users of our analytical systems and with stakeholders formulating external client requirements. You will also approach other teams in BlackRock to learn about the business use-cases we serve and how they could be recreated more efficiently on a novel platform. We work in an integrated, agile team with a focus on quality of work validated through automated testing, and we value effective and clean code. The analytical models we serve are the heart of BlackRock, having them delivered in a scalable and reliable way is a cross-team effort valued by all the parties involved. About our team Security Analytics Infrastructure (SAI) is an established team of QAE with presence in Hungary, New York, India, and Switzerland. We develop scalable, high throughput, low latency analytical software in close cooperation with the Aladdin Financial Modelling team for valuation of fixed income products like swaps, bonds, private credit and derivatives. Challenging the status quo is our norm, and we excel in building modern systems and onboarding innovative technology like microservice architectures. We are pioneers of the firm and early adopters of new tools and industry standards. We are a diverse team with different ideas working towards the same goal. Our dominant programming languages are C++ and Python. We are passionate about what we do and hope you are, too!
