Job Types: Full Time First Shift (6a-6p), Full Time Thirst Shift (6p-6a) and PRN

Responsibilities

  • Assisting residents in preventative, therapeutic, and restorative nursing procedures; adhering to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, ambulating and transferring residents.
  • Completing all required documentation; reporting defective equipment or other potential safety hazards.
  • Working with residents, families, members of the health care team and other employees in a pleasant, respectful and cooperative manner.
  • Attending all in-service programs as required by facility and state/federal guidelines.
  • Respecting and maintaining resident's dignity, privacy and confidentiality according to Residents Bill of Rights.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, such as, soiled linen disposal.
  • Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
  • Help our residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible while they live their daily lives.
  • Provide accurate, efficient and timely care documentation.
  • Perform other duties as needs arise and/or assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED is preferred.
  • Satisfactory completion of an approved nurse aide training program, testing and certified as required by the State of Ohio. Applicants must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Must be in good standing with the Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Must have good communication skills and ability to read, write and follow oral & written instructions.
  • Good documentation, communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift and transfer residents.
