Our supply and trading business, Trading & Shipping (T&S), connects bp to the world's traded markets for oil, gas, power, refinery feedstocks and currencies. We market bp's equity crude oil and natural gas, import feedstocks for our refinery system and buy products to meet marketing demand. We offer a combination of unique expertise in physical supply and trading, innovative financial structures, and world-class analytics to deliver long-term value, from wellhead to end customer. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Manage Pricing transactions and act as primary collaborate with the Front Office and Commodity Risk teams in Pricing queries Responsible for accurate and timely settlement valuations of physical oil and gas shipments. Ensure that price disputes are monitored and resolved in a timely manner, intervening and escalating disputes according to ST&S Settlements Policy Responsible for acting as a primary interface with the Front Office and Commodity Risk teams Accountable to ensure that the operational activity within the area of responsibility is conducted within a strong control framework, highlighting any gaps or issues and developing, document and implement mitigations as appropriate Accountable for ensuring that the operational activity is conducted within a strong control framework. Highlight any gaps or issues, develop, document and implement mitigations as appropriate Understand the business performance expectations, measurement and reporting of KPIs. Provide commentary and actions as appropriate and address root cause of issues. Develop strong working relationships with Commercial Teams Ensure full compliance with the bp T&S Settlements Policy Support business relationships with identified key stakeholders, building and maintaining customer focus Work with relevant teams addressing root causes of outstanding items and issues raised Pro-actively seek opportunities to standardize, simplify and automate processes to improve performance and efficiency Support change activities to ensure successful implementation Identify and deliver Continuous Improvement ideas Handles both internal and external audit requests. As needed, to manage Cash transactions, performs payment runs, bank reconciliations, cash clearing, allocations for T&S accounts and ensure the compliance of Cash operations. ESSENTIAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Relevant finance degree and minimum of 5-8 years of experience in finance or accounting Deep understanding of Commodity Trading and/or Oil Physical Life cycle (deal entry to settlement) and pricing mechanism and contract structures would be advantageous SAP experience would be advantageous. Understanding of Commodity Trading and accounting background would be advantageous DESIRABLE CRITERIA Strong analytical skills, attention to detail Strong work ethics and professionalism Strong stakeholder management, customer service capabilities Strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in an agile and flexible manner, adapting quickly to change and collaborating effectively across teams.
