This position will provide technical assistance to all teachers enrolled with the EES Unit regarding all licensure requirements set forth by the NC State Board of Education, NCAC Chapter 9 Child Care Rule requirements and NC Pre-K Program policies and procedures. The Birth-Kindergarten Licensure Specialist will collaborate with Educator Preparation Programs (EPP), NC Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Licensure Section, NCDPI Nash Regional Assistance Licensing Center, the EES Offices at UNC-Charlotte and East Carolina University and other grant initiatives as assigned. This position also requires excellent attention to detail, accurate verbal and written abilities and timely processing of data entry related to teacher licensure requirements. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $50,088 - $87,654 Recruitment Range: $ 50,088 - $64,687 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. Demonstrated experience with attention to detail (for example, data entry and review of transcripts and other educational documentation). Demonstrated work experience gathering and analyzing information and making an appropriate determination for next course of action. Experience with early childhood education, NC Child Care Rules, NC Pre-K Program policies, and/or NC DPI Licensure. Proficiency in using a desktop/laptop computer, multiple databases, and Microsoft software applications to carry out duties (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, NC Department of Public Instruction's Human Resource Management System (HRMS), Licensure-Salary System, NC Educator Effectiveness System/Home Base, NCDPI Online Licensure System, Scribbles/Capture, WORKS, NC Pre-K PLAN, etc.). Experience providing strong customer service and specialized assistance to internal and external stakeholders (for example, early education professionals, institutions of higher learning, and DCDEE staff). This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.
