Enforcing navigation and shipping laws and regulations; Determining the appropriate level of remedial action and serving responsible parties with warnings, notice of violations, and civil penalties. Determining the appropriate level of remedial action against licensed or documented merchant mariners, to include warnings, notice of violations, and civil penalties, probation, and suspension or revocation. Completing and serving administrative law documentation to merchant mariners, to include Complaints, Settlement Agreements, Subpoenas, Motions related to Suspension and Revocation.
